LOUDER THAN WORDS!
Psalm 16:2 New International Version
2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
Often times we need to encourage ourselves. We need to remind ourselves who has the power to create the world, the sky and sets the wind into motion. We are not in control of many things in life and we must trust God through it all. Somethings we try hard to figure out and we need not to figure things out. We need only to trust God.
ACTION ~ speaks louder than words
James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves
1 Peter 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
In life, we can look around for examples to guide us. When all along, we have the Bible full of great stories and examples of God's power, love and hope. Open it and read the stories and legacies left to us. God left us peace to enter our hearts and minds. Can you feel it? It takes action to receive it and believe it. God is greater than yesterdays of life. He is our hope of today and living a life pleasing unto him.
I often say this, "think about the strongest person you know and now pray for them". No matter if we carry a title or no title, we are all human and need the prayers of others. I know people who think that Pastors, Teachers, Counselors or Leaders have no problems in life. They have studied and know it all, but they do not. Each are human and battle something you might know nothing about in their lives. They are overcomes and they have pressed forward. They have followed the word of God.
Philippians 3:14 ~
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
What do you need to press forward on in life to do? It's time to stop thinking and do it. Following the leading of God and allow him to use your life to help others is easier said than done. Change first must begin in you and it carries further than you will ever know. A good example last a life time and far beyond that. As you think back, throughout the Bible were lives changed. Some said yes to God and some didn't listen and faced circumstances of life.
My own actions have not been all good. I've made mistakes and continue to make mistakes at times. But I've learned to press forward and do my best daily. It takes work to surrender all your thoughts to God's plan. Somethings things just pop up inside my head and it takes me letting it go. Not all things are negative but I find it strange how easy something that pop up in my mind. I go back to Romans 12:2 that says to renew your mind. There is a reason we renew our mind my friends. Purpose this a good day and press toward a greater day than yesterday.
My prayers continue for you today and I thank you for taking time to plant hope in your life today!
