MATTHEW 20:16
"So the last will be first, and the first will be last."
Thinking of others, training for a race or working hard to become a better person are things that are important. I remember studying hard for a spelling challenge at school. I thought I knew a lot of words and then the one word came my way. A word I could not spell and I did not give the first place ribbon. Actually, I didn't get a ribbon at all and walked home crying. Just a kid, but I remember clearly how I felt dumb and wish I knew more words that day.
Later in life, I found myself not knowing making other things but challenges would come my way. Things I would just need do my best on and not be hard on myself. Learning and growing is something we do on a daily bases and it never ends. I keep my mind open to learn and grow from my own mistakes in life. Doing my best daily and trying to live the word of God the best I can. I hope you do that as well. Do not be hard on yourself and realize that challenges comes to each of our lives, but doing our best is a must.
YOU WON ~
Words you want to hear in life. I believe that after we surrender our lives to God, we win in many areas. God makes promises throughout his word (Bible) and it stands true everyday of our lives. Surrender your thoughts, your plans, your will and find his plan all lined up of you. The finish line of life is ahead for each of us and we win. Heaven is the goal and peace forever is the reward. A place that sounds a lot better than hell. Each day of our lives, we prepared for a new day. The word says:
2 Timothy 4:6-8
For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; 8in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.
Life isn't about who is first, but who does their best! I remember telling my kids before a test, "do your best". I would pray over them before they left for school these words, "God, please help them on their test today and brings words they studied and even words they did not study to pass this test". It was just something I found myself praying and even while they were at school, I continued to pray for them. I do the same for my grandkids now. I believe studying is important but prayer goes along with it.
As you you (readers of my blog) I value your time and will keep this short. I pray daily of you as you face new challenges, test and wonders of life. I pray the best daily for you, your families and friends. God is real and wants the best for each of us. Our surrender is important and our choices on a daily bases. Just remember, life isn't a race of who is first, but who runs the race with us. That would be God and all the people he has placed to surround our lives. Hope, peace and love can travel on a daily bases with us too. Not looking to hard at the circumstance that overwhelms us, but a God who handles our lives. He is big enough to created this world and big enough to take care of you. After all, you win with his love, grace, mercy, hope, peace and so much more!
Happy new day.
