1 Peter 5:7-9 New International Version (NIV)
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
RESIST NEGATIVE THOUGHTS ~
RESIST ASKING WHY ME ~
RESIST OVER THINKING ~
It is time to purpose good thoughts and knowing God is on your side. Nothing is too big for him and casting off your anxiety is up to you. God wants us to stand firm in faith all of the days of life. We can not live our yesterdays over again. There are some days I don't even want to live over. If we could live life as an adventure and know a new day is here. It might sound easy for me to say and I know it's much harder when it's you.
For example: Last summer was one of the hardest things of life for my family. My daughter suddenly had a brain bleed and experienced a helicopter ride plus a near death experience. Little did we know that it would take a big life change and months of recovery. Days of needed everything dark inside the house and little movement for her. I won't go into details but our family pulled together to help her and her family. Last summer changed me as a person. I began to struggle inside my head and often asked God why this happen. She had a five day old baby, three step sons and a husband who needed her.
The joy of mother hood finally came to her and seemed as if it was taken quickly. She couldn't be with her baby for days and because of medication, she had to stop breast feeding her too. She couldn't hold anything over 5 pounds for weeks. Her head would experience much pain but also her back. I saw how one day lead to another and often times of moment by moment happened. As a mother myself, I dislike seeing my kids in pain. I felt helpless and wanted God to do a miracle. Yet, I saw how a miracle happen. She was still alive and daily getting better. Sometimes the miracle is the process of healing.
YESTERDAY IS GONE ~
Sometimes the healing is in the process, never forget that.
Once again, keep this scripture alive inside of you:
1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
It's a new day and we can live in this day. We can purpose it to be a good day no matter what we face. We can face life with the joy of the Lord and lean not to our understandings. We can let yesterdays grow up and develop our character to become a stronger person. A person of faith and an example to others. When it gets a little hard for you, remember the those who have gone through hard things and saw the glory of the Lord shine. Through it all, I've leaned to trust God with all my heart, I hope you do too. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. God is a true miracle worker and I praise him for my daughter's health, her family and our extended family/friends too. I'm excited to see a new day and have another chance to make a difference in lives.
