I remember the time when I needed to pick some classes in school. There were a few to choose from and I wasn't sure. My dad suggested to take a typing class. Now keep in mind, I would begin on a typewriter much like the one in this picture. If you have never used one, it's much harder than a laptop in 2015.
I wasn't sure why I should type in the 1960's, because I really enjoyed writing letters by hand. He said I would need to know this skill for my job and other things in life. Little did he know or did I know that years would pass and typing would be used in this daily blog and so much of my life. My dad went to heaven when I was 18 years olds and he was so right about typing. I am glad I listen to what he said and I totally loved typing. I love sharing my life through words and typing is so much faster.
I remember hearing about the old days. Yes, even older than my days. The old days were written down upon scrolls and ink of some sort. Change came over the years and things are so much more convenient now. Open a lap top and begin to type. Take a blank piece of paper and write words upon a page. Communication through words is so important.
WRITE IT DOWN ~
Learn from the Bible and words upon it's pages!
The Bible speaks in Romans 15:4 NIV ~
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
Psalm 102:18 NIV
18This will be written for the generation to come,
That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD
1 Corinthians 10:11 NIV
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.
Deuteronomy 4:9 NIV
Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.
WRITE IT DOWN ~
Life has changed from the Bible days to our days of 2015. Typewriters were invented and now computers, cells phones and tablets of the internet available. Electronic devices and so much change keeps coming. Some of that change is great and others is not so great. We might drift away from something so important. The bible is a roadmap to daily living and someday Heaven is taking place. I'm thankful that my dad encouraged me to type and to learn more in life. I wish I had more time with him, but it turned out the way it did and I've learned much about life. My choices matters and do does yours.
Here is a blank piece of paper for you ~ go ahead and write it down. Write down a few things you are thankful for in life and then write down some prayer needs. Through it all we learn, study and grow into the person God meant for us to be. Sometimes it takes us loosing things and people in our lives to gain wisdom and purpose. It's not always easy, but necessary for us to press forward in life. Keep your eyes focus on God's word and keep doing the right things in life, no matter how hard it might be.
Never stop believing or dreaming big in life!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
