Proverbs 18:21 New International Version (NIV)
21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
God has created us to become a new person in him. He wants us to cast away old thoughts about ourselves and speak words of life. Yesterday brought a different view point about myself. Actually, it's been a hard week with my own thoughts. I find that when you are used to doing something and that something changes, you get kind of lost in your now. It is like having a job for along length of time and then when it's gone, you lost part of you. Now, it's time to begin again.
Maybe life isn't about a job right now for you, but about a decision to speak life words to yourself. Somethings things can get overwhelming and life is just a bit hard. When your world comes crashing down, you loose words of encouragement even to yourself. Today, let it be about encouraging yourself. You were designed in God's image and designed to do greatness.
WORDS ~
Ephesians 2:10 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
WORDS ~
Life and death is in the tongue!
God told us clearly that our words matter. Have you ever been around a negative person who keeps speaking the worst is going to happen? I have and it isn't uplifting at all. It about the next worse thing in life. I find it like that statement of the glass of water being half full or half empty. My choice in seeing the water inside the glass for me or my choice to see that half is gone. God wants us to see the he is still God through it all and he has created us anew in him.
A PAINTING ~
I have a beautiful painting hanging on my wall of a lighthouse. It is a reminder to me that God lights my path when I can't see through the fog. It's the hard stuff in life that make us into better person or bitter person. We must look through new eyes to see the glass half full. Let me remind you that all choices are not God's choices or the devil's choices. It is your choice and the consequences that follow you after that choice. It wasn't mean to stop you or harm you, but God had a way out. A new beginning isn't always easy but sometimes necessary.
I am writing today from the middle of my heart. Someone reading this needs to hear that you make a difference and your life represents far more than you might realize. God's plan still is unfolding and your words matter.
Philippians 4:13 New Living Translation (NLT)13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
Often times in life we look at the big mountain in front of us, when God just wants us to take another step. Living in the now, thinking moment to moment and trusting God through it all. My prayers continues for you, your family and friends.
