WILLOW TREE ~

I took this picture of a Willow Tree at my granddaughters school.  I love the way it flows down and is beautiful.  What makes this tree so different is the way the branches hang.  I decided to research the definition of the tree.  It reads: The definition of a willow tree is a tree that grows in cold or temperate climates and sheds its leaves each year (deciduous). An example of a willow tree is the Weeping Willow.  

What is the spiritual meaning of a willow tree?
Green, like the leaves on the branches, symbolizes nature, fertility, and life. It also represents balance, learning, growth and harmony. Our image of the willow tree represents the strength, stability and structure of the trunk, standing firm and withstanding the greatest of challenges.

English Meaning: The name Willow is an English baby name. In English the meaning of the name Willow is: Slender;graceful. From the willow tree noted for slender graceful branches and leaves.

​One of my granddaughters is named Willow.  When I asked her what should I write on, she said the Willow Tree.  She loves that a tree has her name.  It stands out to her and is one of my favorite trees too. Trees are rooted deep within the ground.  Many can weather storms and strong winds.  They are put to the test of seasons of changing on still stand strong.  I would like to compare this tree to our own lives.  Being rooted and ground in God so we can stand strong too.

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

ROOTED and GROUNDED IN LOVE ~

Job 14:7-9

7 “At least there is hope for a tree:
    If it is cut down, it will sprout again,
    and its new shoots will not fail.
8 Its roots may grow old in the ground
    and its stump die in the soil,
9 yet at the scent of water it will bud
    and put forth shoots like a plant.

Roots go deep and God is able to handle this day just fine.  I have found myself telling God stuff and it would be great if he does this or that.  God does not need my help in directions of things.  God only needs me to surrender my life and my words to him.  Summits I speak without thinking and you would't think I would rooted in God.  My human side can come out and I work so hard at doing the right thing.  I work home and surrender, but I am human and I do make wrong decisions.  Forgiving myself and others along this road called life.
