Life can be a mixture of good and hard things. Facing a new day is different for each of us. Even growing up in the same home, people just are different. We were not created to be the same.
This picture of a man and Jesus reminds me of my son. He had this picture in his room growing up. He would tell me how Jesus was always there and he picks us up.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT ~ Daily God bears our burdens
Psalm 68:19 NIV
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
who daily bears our burdens.
As I listen to people, we get tired of everyday life at times. The same old things I hear from many. Others might get mad because of their situation they face. The lack of a job, money or sickness within their homes or loved ones. Missing a person more than words can say and the great wonder of where God is in your own life. I've been in hard spots. I remember when I was 18 years old and my dad died. I remember that pain so clear as if it were today. I remember when good things happen and I was able to go on vacation and enjoy time with my family. I also remember going to Disneyland and sitting in the bathroom crying my face off. I had memories of loved ones in Heaven and I just became overwhelmed with tears.
Sometimes our normal changes and gives us a new normal. Yet, JESUS remains the same. It is us to take on too much, or won't let go of what we can't change. We must rest in knowing God is big enough to carry me through this. Yes, even in the middle of a death of a loved one, we can feel peace from God but that doesn't mean that our tears won't come. It won't mean that we will like where we are at, but we can know that JESUS will carry us.
I also know that sometimes I've only looked at the immediate thing I was going through, without looking at the complete picture. God gives us free will and our choices matter. Our choices of what we think upon and how we handle things. My husband and I faced making some hard decisions yesterday about his mom. She has liver failure and we are watching a quick decline in her life. We prayed and felt peace as tears began to flow. It's not easy my friends to be there for someone hurting or facing life issues, but it's important to be there! Sharing life in both good times and hard times. A sudden reminder that God carries us through it all.
I might not know your story or your situation of life, but I do care. My prayers are with you, your family and friends. I thank you for taking the time to read this and plant hope today in what you face. It's not always bad and remember that. God has a plan and holds us in all seasons of life.
Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future!
Rest in knowing God cares and he puts people into our lives to walk with journey together. I learn from others who walked places I never have and they learn from me. I don't like what I face today at the care home, but I do like that Jesus is with Helen (Mother in law/love) and people are there to help her.
Thankful for lives that work there and those who messages us. Friendship is a gift from God and I never want to forget that. I look back to see how far Jesus has carried me in hard times and praise him in all times. It's a choice!
