WHO TOLD YOU THAT?
I was in a class the other night and this was one of the questions. As a kid I believed my parents and teachers at school. As an adult, I believed ministers of the gospel and those who were in my life. I grew older and realized that not everything I learned, was correct. I had some very wrong thinking and had to begin a new learning pattern of truth. I had to let go of the grumpy self and begin again.
Philippians 2:12-13 New International Version (NIV)
Do Everything Without Grumbling
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
Not everybody that is a minister of the gospel spread the truth. There were made up verses of the bible at times and people's own convictions of life put onto others. It is good to know the Bible for yourself and God says this: continue to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Such a balance of life and each day is a new beginning.
WORK ON YOU ~
As a kid, you just know what you are taught. Life moves forward and that's when we realize to research somethings ourselves. It becomes time to work on ourselves. I begin to count blessings and feel the sunshine in my heart. This is the day, not tomorrow or yesterday but today!
Psalm 118:24-27 New International Version (NIV)
24 The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
25 Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you.
27 The Lord is God,
and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up to the horns of the altar.
TODAY IS THE DAY ~
Look at how God has blessed your life
I count it joy that I can see a new day. I have seen too much to doubt the power of God and his amazing faithfulness to my family plus myself. Endless stories of overcoming things as kids and adults. There is a time to learn and to grow deeper, plus a time to rest in knowing who you are in God. So many changes to one life and one God who remains the same. Over the years, I've grown in wisdom and sharing my journey of life.
I remember teaching on a Wednesday night and realizing I had traveled down a rabbit trail. I didn't even know what that meant. After class, a young girl (Brandi) told me that she liked when I went down a rabbit trail with a story. It was exactly what she needed to hear that night. Each night before class, I would pray and ask God to use me. It didn't matter if one person showed up or more. It matter that I said yes and allowed God to bring the women. I do my best to encourage others to join events, but lives are busy. Don't be too busy to take time for you and grow in God. Don't be too busy to rest and allow peace to rest in your mind.
SPREAD A LITTLE SUNSHINE ~
Live in today and make the best of this day!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
