WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE ~
Nothing can prepare us for a devastating fire that rips through a place we call home. Nothing will be same again because everything is gone. Those cherish pieces of jewelry, pictures, special blankets and pillows. Let us not forget the remote control for a tv that was sitting on the couch. I think you get my point today. Let me take this into a spiritual point right now.
Nothing can really prepare us for some sudden things that happen to us. The news of a lost job, health issues, a fire and the list goes on. Life is all about changes and how we deal with things makes a difference. Our lives can go from positive to negative in a moment. It's up to us to see the good through all things and find our hope rest in God. It takes a life who believes greater is ahead.
John 11:25-26 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus said to her,
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
I want to focus on the question, "DO YOU BELIEVE?"
God restores things and he completes us. I told a lady yesterday that we would agree in prayer for a miracle of health for her and I would hold for her in prayer. Each day say these words, "GOD IS ABLE". She said she would and keep trusting God for change. Change happens and we are encouraged by each other. Her doctor's report wasn't good, but GOD IS ABLE to change that to positive. I've seen too much to doubt the power of God.
Hebrews 10:24-25 New International Version (NIV)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Spur one another on toward love and good deeds! God wants us to encourage each other and show love plus good actions. Think of someone today that you can encourage. Even the strongest person in your life needs encouragement at times. God has connect you to this page for a purpose. We can't focus not he negative or it feeds the negative thoughts. Depression is real and hits so many people. Moments of doubt and we can turn it to good. Have you heard that Jesus came to help and do miracles in his father's name? Read this:
Luke 18:35-43 New International Version (NIV)A Blind Beggar Receives His Sight35 As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging.36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see,” he replied.
42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.
I shared this story today, because our the ashes or being blinded by your own now, God has came to change your situation to positive. There is hope and promises throughout the Bible. Things can be restores and eyes site come back to the blind man. I don't have all the answers, but I know a God who can help you through not understanding moments of life. Greater is ahead for you and I believe that. I am praying now for you, your family and friends. Be encouraged today and know that GOD IS ABLE to help you this day.
