The Bible: John 1:1-11 New International Version (NIV)
The Word Became Flesh
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.
WHAT IS NORMAL ~
What might be normal to one person, isn't normal to another.
God created each of us for purpose but some people don't believe as you do. In reading the scriptures above, John went as a witness but people did not receive him. Your yes to God is important and doing what is right is valuable. We don't always see the complete plan of God, but what we do see, we need to do. So many times we can blame someone else and we just need to do what God has called us too.
Look at all the people in different jobs, out reach ministries and just daily walking of life. People take on titles of Pastor, Teacher, Lawyer, Police Officer, Fireman, Doctor, Nurse, Counselor, Boss and the list goes on. People who study and complete their degrees of life. The title hold power and obligations of their job. There are other people who live without a title or degree in life. Yet, we all have one title: Child of God. In that title holds responsibilities of sharing God's word, his love and actions with others. Acts of kindness and letting your LIGHT shine.
I had titles of Youth Pastor, Minister's Wife and Associate Pastor with my husband. I was an officer manager that held many responsibilities. Then titles ended as the positioned ended. Someone asked me the other day, what do you do? I quickly replied by I help at my church in women's ministry and children's ministry. I volunteer at my granddaughters school inside the classrooms. Then I got a replied like this, but you don't have a job? It made me think, what does define me in life. I am retired now and able to spend time with my grandchildren and help in many places. I can't let a title define me other than a person who does her best and continues to shine for Jesus.
I had my normals changes as life changes. I watched my kids go through hard things and grow up to be great adults. Struggles hit us all and life changes us. Through the ups and downs but knowing God is able to help you. Life changes with someone dies, leaves us or just daily living. I have seen miracles and I have been through deep sorrows. It's become normal to trust the Lord with all my heart. I hope you do this as well. Just knowing God is able is important. Just knowing that I totally trust the Lord is important. Just sharing real life with others and keep a faith in God who can move mountains in your life.
Our normal should be one of praising God for everything we have. Our normals as one of getting up to a new day and seeing where God has brought your life from. Yesterday is done and now a new day is here. I heard it said that it takes 10 days doing the same thing for it to become normal. That was just hear say but it makes sense to me. Getting up reading scriptures for 10 days and you feel encouragement come. I have done this and it is important for you to let go of what you can't change my friend.
Purpose this a good day. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
