In this picture I was one. The year was 1956. The years pass quickly and today marks my 60th Birthday. It is never too late to step into God's plan for your life. New beginnings happen for a reason.
YOU~DON'T~EVEN~KNOW has just begun!
I began this journey of writing ten years ago and never filled the dream inside my heart. I found myself loosing my website and feeling sad. Then, I began a blog called SUDDENLY SPARKIE.
As the years passed by, I began to hear God speak to start the website back up and begin again. So here I am, beginning again and ready to take another step toward my purpose. It is not easy to say that I stopped the plan, but I did and ask God for forgiveness. I know without a doubt that God gave me the name, "youdonteveknow" for a reason and it was never to stop.
We never know the depth of someone's journey of life, but God has this amazing plan of changing us as we surrender our will to his will. I'm in the process of finishing a book and writing daily. Life's ups and downs are like a roller coaster of events and we find ourselves holding on.
I totally believe in Jeremiah 29:11 ~ A plan, A promise and A future.
Our plans are not always the plan of God.
God's promises are real, he will never leave us or forsake us.
Our future is unknown, because we have free will to make decisions.
I knew that ten years ago, God had a big plan for my life. I quit my job and stepped into purpose. I can look back over the last ten years and I see how God has grown me. He is challenging me to take another step by faith. Daily I will write encouragements over different chapters of life. I'm having a great day, I'm having a okay day, I'm having a hard day or I'm have a done day! I will add more as time goes on, but each day will be a new scripture of hope and pressing forward. My daily blog will be on it as well.
A NEW DAY ~
Romans 3:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
This is who I am: I hold the titles of Mrs., Mom, Grammie, MiMi, sister, daughter, auntie, great auntie, friend and Ms. Sparkie. I lead people in a growing relationship with Jesus and encourage people to get through their pain one day at a time. I only look back to see goodness and mercy. My own failures and pains of life, have brought me to write and inspire others to press forward. You can do this!
My heart is thankful for another day of life. Starting each day with a deep breath and a thankful heart. The in-between in what happens today and I thank God for His amazing freedom, choices and seeing the desires of my heart come to pass. Speak life words over yourself daily. Seasons come and go in our lives. There is power in what we take away from our experiences. We either become better people or bitter people.
I have co-lead a Wednesday class for Women at Hillside Christian Center in Napa, Ca for over ten years. It is currently called THE WELL with our Women's Pastor Darlene Washburn. There is a true Destiny for each of us. It's time to step into purpose and live in freedom.
BROKEN PLACES ~
I was broken years ago and made a decision never to attend church again. People can be so mean and yes, even inside the church. I found myself at a place of needing prayer and prayer wasn't an option without telling totally details to the Pastor. That is when I found myself hurting, alone and going to God with all my prayer needs. I believe that is when God birthed "you don't even know ministries" inside my heart.
Details are not needed for you to get prayer. God knows exactly what your life has gone through and wants to help you at where you are in life. Calling upon the name of Jesus is the first step and asking forgiveness is the next. I believe that church is important, because it is a connect place where God and his people meet. If I had never gone back to church, I would not know all the people I do now. I know my life affects others and so does yours.
I have attended Hillside Christian Center in Napa for over 12 years and I've seen miracles of lives. I've began a small group in 2005 and the Wednesday class for women began. It has turned into a worship, teaching, prayer service with Darlene and I. If you are a lady over 18 years of age, you are welcome to come and attend at 7pm in room 101. Our own life examples helps others far more than we might know. I realize that not everyone is broken and weekly connections are important.
I'm looking forward to writing daily and having you following me on my website and you sending it to your family/friends too. God connects lives for purpose. My prayers continue for those who read my writings. It is time to leave the past and travel into purpose!
I would like to give thanks to Ali, Andrea and Dezerai for all the help in making this website happen! Dreams do come true, when we put our dreams to action.
