Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Living by scripture is so important. Proverbs 4:23 speaks of guarding your heart. Jesus knew that we are human and things will hurt us. It could be our own actions that causes us pain and we must forgive ourselves. It also could be others that we must forgive. Forgiveness is what God gives us and we must give it back. Living with words that change us from the inside out. If we meditate on God daily, we will find our peace and comfort from him. Words matter and speaking positive words matters.
Psalm 19:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Proverbs 12:16-19 New International Version (NIV)
16 Fools show their annoyance at once,
but the prudent overlook an insult.
17 An honest witness tells the truth,
but a false witness tells lies.
18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
19 Truthful lips endure forever,
but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
WATCH YOUR WORDS ~
Our words makes such a difference. I can see how my words can help someone, but frustrate someone. Taking time to think before speaking. Taking time use wisdom in talking makes a difference. It's not always the first thought that needs to come out of our mouths. If you are a sensitive person, you find yourself getting hurt over little things of life. Word can cut us inside and it just hurts. Not everyone thinks before they speaks. Our tongue has power and once we put Jesus in our hearts, our words change as we learn his ways.
Guard your hearts and purpose positive words this day. I have found that our examples of living for Jesus reaches out to others. There is just something different about a person who lives in kindness and actions. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
