Ephesians 6:10-18 New International Version (NIV)
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
The truth will set you free
John 8:31-32 New International Version (NIV)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Thoughts are powerful and can lead us down the wrong road of thinking. They also can lead us down good roads of thinking too. Do your best daily to keep positive thoughts and allowing God to continue to mold you. Your example goes further than you might ever know. Have you ever overheard a conversation and knew you needed to say something? I have and it just happened the other day. I knew inside to encourage a person because I have been where this person was in life. Just a little encouragement goes a long way. She was very grateful and I knew I did the right thing. I never say I know how you feel, I only say, I can relate to how you feel.
Praying for others is important. Sharing an encouragement scripture goes a long way. We walk around and never know what someone else is going through. I volunteer at my granddaughters school and I have gotten to know many teachers plus office staff. Real people who have daily lives with seen and unseen needs of life. They give their all to help little children not only learn how to read and write, but to have manners and how to treat others. My own example continues to help not only children but the teachers too. God can use us no matter where we at in life. Never let age stop you, but a new day brings new things.
God is love and he cares about each of us the same. Please know that my prayers are with the readers of my blog, your family and friends.
