Proverbs 15:31-33 New International Version (NIV)
31 Whoever heeds life-giving correction
will be at home among the wise.
32 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves,
but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.
33 Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,
and humility comes before honor.
WALK WITH THE WISE ~
Someone who we can trust and learn from in life.
Once we find that person, we find a treasure from God. We can learn from life's mistakes and grow into a wise person ourselves. I say this, because when I was young, I thought I knew so much. I would listen to older women and often wonder what they meant. Now I understand more, because I am that older person who has walked through trials and victories of life. My yesterdays have taught me much and my now continues to teach me. I not only walk with wise people now, but I am a wise person. Even a wise person can learn daily in life.
Proverbs 19:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
20 Listen to advice and accept discipline,
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.
21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
We must have an ear to hear and a voice to speak. Too many people stop pressing forward and find themselves stuck in a situation of life. God is big enough to connect you with amazing people. A new beginning is given to each of us in life. God said we have all sinned and fallen short. Yet, he purposed a way out for each of us. A way of life that only you can live and share with others. Determination is important in life. Read the word of God (Bible), seek him in all things and rest in knowing he cares for you. We are overcomer by the word of our testimony and others will see through you Jesus.
Romans 8:31-32 New International Version (NIV)
More Than Conquerors
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?
I've been through some very hard things in life. My own mistakes have taken me down roads I never wanted. There are consequences to our own choices and that affects others too. There is a day that comes that God takes it all away and you can feel refreshed plus renewed in life. You must believe that God takes things away and new things happen for a reason. My life has become greater since I've learned to turn my thoughts to God and my actions. Stopping before speaking and just thinking things through can make such a difference.
WALK WITH THE WISE ~
You are walking with the wise while walking with Jesus. Allow him freedom to mold you into his character of kindness, love, forgiveness, courage, wisdom and all good things. Learn from yesterdays of life and do not carry that negative baggage with you. It's a new day with new choices!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
