WALK THIS WAY ~
Isaiah 43:18-19 New International Version (NIV)
18 “Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.
I remember teaching on new beginnings and forgetting the past. It is hard to forget somethings but if stay living in the past, we can't move forward the way God wants. He wants us to live in freedom in our minds. Living in today is so important and planning ahead too. When we do look back, we see goodness and mercy who follows us. God has a way of creating new normals in our life and if there is nothing we can do about something, then let it go.
God is able ~
He makes a way where there seems no way
Miracles still happen and I believe that. If you are asking God for something, don't stop believing. Just know that believing also takes action sometimes. For example, if we want a new job, we have to go after that new job. If we want a new car, we need the money to pay for that new car. Things don't just seem to appear at our door, but we must go after it. Don't sit still and do nothing. There are things we must pray about too.
WALK THIS WAY ~
There is a game called follow the leader. I loved that game as a kid. When I grew up, I learned the importance of not always following a person. I need to follow God and ask him to place people who follow him with all their heart. God gave me real friends and good examples in my life now. I have become a good leader of people and yet I do make mistakes. I never tell people to follow me, but follow God's word. I do my best daily and I have learned from my younger years of life. There is something about getting older than makes me see the wisdom I have gained in life. I have gained from younger people and older people. Look around you and see if those you hang around bring encouragement to your life or bring you down. We must surround ourselves with good words of encouragement daily.
Psalm 27:4 New International Version (NIV)One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
ONE THING ~
Dwell in the house of the Lord
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
