1 Peter 5:7 King James Version (KJV)
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Throughout life, there are waiting times. I took this picture of my husband and watched how patiently he waits to catch a fish. Not everyone has the patience to wait for a fish or wait for other things in life to happen. The Bible speaks to wait on the Lord.
Psalm 27:14 New International Version (NIV)
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.
We wait in lines to have our turn. We wait to get answers to questions and we learn that not everything happens in our timing. I have often asked my husband how do you just sit there and wait for a fish. He tells me that it's peaceful, fun and he just enjoys fishing. He asked me the same thing about just sitting outside in the sun. I enjoy the sunshine but without a fishing pole. Finding that each of us like different things in life but each of us wait on many things in life.
Nehemiah 8:10 New Life Version (NLV)Ezra said to them, “Go, eat and drink what you enjoy, and give some to him who has nothing ready. For this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be sad for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
I wanted to point out how the Bible speaks of the JOY of the lord being your strength. In waiting, it requires patience. Let us not get ahead of God's plan for our lives. We learn to wait, trust and believing in God which handles our lives.
It becomes time to get ready for a new day. That requires us getting up, getting dressed and heading out. Just like you brush your teeth and get ready, don't forget to thank God for this new day. We might not know what is exactly ahead of us today, but there is a unlined trust knowing that our thoughts and actions must align with God's plan. Yes, I must wait on somethings and the timing of a clock on others. Each tick of a clock brings me closer to my next things in life.
WAIT ~ On someone to return your call. Isn't it frustrating when someone says,"I'll call you right back". Then they don't call right back. Maybe a company that says, "Let me check that out and please hold". Then all of a sudden you get cut off the phone. We wait and we have times of trying again. Start overs in life are necessary and we learn to handle our frustration in life. We must let go of many things in one day and purpose a good attitude in all.
There will be things in life that won't change. That's a new normal and we must deal with it. Waiting might not be the answer, but doing is the answer. Let us do things with a heart of good intentions and press forward in life. We can not get stuck on waiting on somethings and take action. Each new day brings new things our way. Give thanks, trust more and allow freedom to enter your mind on things you can not change. Living in peace, love and hope with God daily.
WAIT ~ A STOP
Don't forget that you are important!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
