Matthew 18:18-21 New International Version (NIV)
18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
I find it important to have people in my life I can trust. I have been so hurt by people and knew I couldn't trust certain people again. Learning to trust again took the power of God in my life, but it also takes time. Time is a healer of things that have been done to us, but it's also God who removed hurtful thoughts. Thoughts carry us from the past and can move right into our now of life. Replaying things we can not change in our lives. Somethings we must get through and over in life.
Colossians 3:2-4 New International Version (NIV)
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
TIME ~
Just like we set our clocks to the right time, we must set our minds on things above. We live our lives by time and why not live by the timing of God too. His timing is not often our timing but we learn that he continues to take care of us.
Allowing people into our lives brings a mix of emotions. There are great times, good times but not always good. We learn the character of each other and sometimes, we must pull ourselves away from people. There are others that move away and we continue to keep in contact with them. God brings people into our lives for seasons and sometimes forever. Those forever friends will be there for you in a moments time. Maybe just a phone call away and action takes place to help. I find my friend close and far, but always ready to help me. Sometimes I need guidance in life and encouragement just like you do.
Colossians 3:12-14 New International Version (NIV)Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
God has a plan to bring us together and kindness can shine through us. So many people are in such a hurry and frustrated in life. If we could only slow down, count blessings and live kindness. I like that two or more coming together has power in prayer. Don't forget there is power in your prayers too. God hears our hearts, but he knows that friends help too. Coming together at work, church, school or any social gathering can bring joy to our hearts. Just knowing that we are connected by God and our examples matters to others too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends,
