Help us Lord to follow in your ways
Romans 1:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God-- 2 the gospel he promised before hand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures 3 regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, 4 and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. 5 Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name’s sake. 6 And you also are among those Gentiles who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.
TRUST THE PROCESS ~
He created you and has a plan
I often wonder how the people felt in Jesus time, when Jesus had to go away. Jesus walked this earth and went about doing what he knew to do. Following the voice of God and knowing that things were about to change. The disciples were men just like men and women of today. They came from different places of life and answered the call that Jesus gave. Leaving their land to travel the path with Jesus. Somewhere along the way, the process started. Paul said yes to God and followed Jesus. How about you, have you said yes to God and following his voice? Are you trusting the process of your now?
Jeremiah 29:11-13 New International Version (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
THE PLAN ~
Call on God and he will answer
There is a bigger plan to each of our lives. There are unknown things and desires of our hearts. Holding onto his promises is so important. We try to figure things out in our minds and sometimes we just don't need to know. When Jesus calls, we need to answer. In the waiting periods of life, we find rest in knowing God has a plan. We can get impatient and miss the very thing God has for us. I like that God's word opens the roadmap for us.
Psalm 46:10 New International Version (NIV)
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
TRUST THE PROCESS ~
Think about a time when you needed to trust God with all your heart. I have personally seen miracles in lives close to me. It was the impossible times, that God turned into possible. Not everything will go my way or your way, but the plan is trusting God's way. It's mixed up with being human, emotional and wanting answers fast. God often takes longer than we might think. He really does know what is best for each of us. Once again, it becomes about trusting the process. Purpose today a good day and go about showing kindness to others.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
