OUR NORMAL ~
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART
Psalm 37:3-7 New International Version (NIV)
3 Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
TRUST IN THE LORD ~
I want to point out the important of trusting the Lord and live in peace
Yes, things will scare us. Fires, earthquakes, storms of life and so many more things. Yet, the Lord is faithful and will protect us through it all. He will guide us and give us a flashlight of hope. There are times when we will not understand the why of things, but trusting through the situation. I watched my daughter and her family loose their house two years ago in the Napa fires. I saw the devastation of their home and property. So much destroyed and yet a new beginning takes time. Two years later, they are still completely their rebuild and this fire threat makes things scary again. Let us learn we can trust in God, find peace and know that we will make it through whatever we face.
FACE IT WITH COURAGE ~
Wisdom is within the Bible and knowing that God is able helps us
Let us thank God today for first responders to emergency situations. Men and women who care to study and put their lives on the line for us. We shouldn't complain about not having electricity or water, when men and women are fighting huge fires for us. Let us pray for them, but also for their families. They work long hours, tired and keep fighting the fires. Prayer is important and our actions are important too. Let us thank people in all areas of life who help us.
When we read about the desires of our hearts, we wonder why in some areas. Just like I wondered why it happened to my daughter's house and yet now I see a beautiful rebuilt house. Her and her husband wished it never happened, but they can see good from it looking at the new house. Would they choose this way to get a new house? NO WAY! Yet, they had to face the truth and press forward into their new beginning of life. I'm sad things happen that hurt people, but it does. It doesn't mean that God isn't able, but real hard stuff happens. Learning who to lean on during these times is important. Not only God, but family plus friends.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
God, thank you for a new day and help us to deal with whatever we face in this new day!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
