BE CONFIDENT ~
Philippians 1:6 New International Version (NIV)
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
LISTEN AND LEARN ~
We can learn from others
Proverbs 19:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
20 Listen to advice and accept discipline,
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.
21 Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
God has a plan for each of us. We can grow from reading the Bible and sharing time with others. I have made my own mistakes in life and has consequences to those mistakes. We are human, we make mistakes and we can grow from them. I speak about growing into a a better person and not a bitter person. Life can certainly change us and tomorrow is ahead. What we do in tomorrow matters and things can suddenly happen. I heard it said that we are not promised tomorrow, but to live in today. We must also plan our lives well enough to handle our tomorrows.
This word is on my mind today. I understand that some are young reading this and some are older. God has put you on this page today for a reason. We must learn to balance our dollars and enjoy life. I have found some of the best things in life are free. Time is precious and spending that with someone you care about is important. Just like me writing this blog. Daily encouragement to all of us is nice. Just someone smiling at me makes a difference.
Here is the thing, we often compare our lives to someone who has gone through much hard work. They have planned for tomorrow and set up their families in a good way. Others struggle to make a dollar and worry about tomorrow. Maybe you worry about today and how to pay a bill. I've been there and I've cried many tears over lack of money. My husband and I are retired now. We have enough, but God isn't a God of just enough. He is a God of more than enough. Blessings come my way and God has connected my life to a beautiful week of vacation. Waking up and over looking the calm waters this morning. I wish this house was mine but I'm happy I'm a part of coming here.
Live in today is a powerful statement. We can overcome our own thinking and plan ahead at the same time. Please know that I care and that's why I write you. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and friends. Plan for tomorrow but live in today.
