Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight
Each new day, we wake up to thoughts. Some are new, some replay and some are yet to be experienced. I heard someone day this: I never expected my life to turn out like this! In life we can experience much sorrow, but we can also experience much happiness. Maybe your life hasn't turned out the way you thought, but stop a minute to look at where you are at. There are times you just think you can't breath or go through this crazy situation of life. You can look back and see how you did make it and how strength came to you. I can relate to this statement above, "you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have".
This journey of life continues and you are reading this today for a reason. Maybe it's just a hard day for you and you need a little bit of encouragement. I've been in places of no money for food, paying bills or gas for the car. I was only in my early 30's when I experienced such disappear of bill collectors calling and the big wonder why in life. My husband has gotten hurt at work and feel over 40 feet. He cracked some ribs, broken knee cap and so much pain. My children when 5 and 2 years of age. I didn't understand the scripture of leaning not to my own understanding. I just knew I had to be strong and do my best in life. My husband got mentally down because of the pain, the sadness of not working for a long time and the lack of things we needed. I can look back now and see how God brought us through those times in life.
Fast forward about 30 years and we live in our 60''s now. It's been a time of growing in God and learning to hold on in all seasons of life. There will be times you do not understand in life. I have found the big question wasn't why, but how do I hold on? Then I read this:
Hebrews 10:24-25New International Version (NIV)
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
TODAY ~ It is about my relationship with God. Trusting him beyond limits and having family/friends who encourage me to write. My story has inspired some people and I value how God uses every step of the way to help someone. God wants to use your story too. Each of us go through many things in life and we need each other. Words inspire us to press forward and share hope with others. Today, be encouraged because your hard times are soon over and greater is ahead. I know this by the word of God and each of our actions matter. Choose right thoughts and press toward God in all things.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
