The watch needed a battery. My husband would go from store to store looking for a battery. This wasn't an exspensive watch and it would have been easier to get a new watch. This watch belonged to my mom (83 years old) and she wanted this watch to work again.
My husband finally found a battery. It started ticking and she watched time. The crazy thing about time was this, my mom would never change the time when seasons said turn your clock ahead or turn your clock back. She would ask, "9 my time or 9 your time"? I know that's weird, but that's the way it was for her.
Strange how that little hand moving around a circle, made her day. Now my mom rest in Heaven now and she doesn't need the circle of numbers anymore. I saw the picture of this watch and it brought back so many memories. It's important to use our time wisely and learn from each day we live. Sharing hope with others and even smiles to strangers. We just never know what one person goes through in one day.
TIME STOPPED ~ It made me think
TIME BEGAN ~ Make the best of moments in life
Ephesians 5:16 English Standard Version (ESV)
16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
James 4:14 English Standard Version (ESV)
14 yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
As the clock continues to tick away, let us make our time valuable. Let us see the things we do have here and not compare our lives to others. It is super hard when you see other have things you wish you did. I have only one brother and yesterday marked his birthday. He rest in Heaven since he was 37 years old. I miss him greatly. Just thinking back over moments in life and smiling a bit too. Trying hard to remember those moments that will always stay alive in my head and heart. Time does move by fast and we can't get back time with people. Purpose time today with others and count blessings.
Psalm 90:12 English Standard Version (ESV)
12 So teach us to number our days
that we may get a heart of wisdom.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to read this and know that I care you. I love how God tells us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. I have learned over life to let go of what I can't change and change the things I can. Each day is a new beginning and I love when I open my door in the mornings to hear birds sing. Just a simple songs of praise and the sky is beautiful.
God created this day for purpose and what ever you face, know that God is on your side. There was a time in my life when I never thought I would ever attend a church again or spread the news about a God who cared. I can look back to see how far he has brought me and how important my life is to some people. It took me letting go of words planted and hurts beyond measures by people.
Here I am today, living one day at a time and making each day the best I can. Working in my church for over 15 years now. I hope you will join me in making this a good day and counting some blessings. Don't forget that clock keeps ticking and it's time for you to see yourself the way God does. It's also time to make a difference and live in today!
