2 Corinthians 4:13-18 New International Version (NIV)
It is written:
“I believed; therefore I have spoken.”
Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
THROUGH EYES OF FAITH ~
We must hold onto things not seen
I have seen miracles in my life time. Things that looked impossible and God turn around. Trusting God is what I know to do in my life. Looking through eyes of faith and knowing that God's plan is the best. My son (Chad) was only two years old when he got a doctor's report of a muscle disease. His joints were swelling up and the doctor said Chad had less than a week to live. That report sent me into prayer and I contacted everyone I could to pray. There wasn't Facebook or iPhones then and it wasn't so easy to talk to people like now. It was on the third day Chad began a change and things turned around. Chad became better and the doctor was shocked. The doctor said he didn't really believe in God, but after seeing Chad changed so quickly, this must be God. A powerful testimony of the power of God and my son lived through this. It was scary and I only knew to believe.
What happens when you believe and it doesn't happen in miracle health? I've also experienced this in my life. My brother (Ronnie) was only 37 years old when he found out he had cancer. He would die on Christmas day in less than one year of finding out. I prayed and I believed God would give him a miracle of health. Ronnie said that you must live your life as if each day was your last, but plan for tomorrow. He said that he trust God and if it was his time to enter Heaven, he was ready. His words reminded me of giving our lives to God and trusting the process of some times it just our time to enter Heaven. I still believe in miracles and I guess my brother got one on Christmas Day just not the way I thought. No more pain and freedom in Heaven. I miss him greatly and he was my only sibling.
THROUGH EYES OF FAITH ~
We can take the limits off of God and trust him fully
Hebrews 11:1 New International Version (NIV)
Faith in Action
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Ephesians 6:16-18 New International Version (NIV)
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
BELIEVE ~ HOLD ON ~ TRUST THE LORD ~
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends
