A NEW DAY OF THOUGHTS ~
Ecclesiastes 11:7-10 New International Version (NIV)
Remember Your Creator While Young
7 Light is sweet,
and it pleases the eyes to see the sun.
8 However many years anyone may live,
let them enjoy them all.
But let them remember the days of darkness,
for there will be many.
Everything to come is meaningless.
9 You who are young, be happy while you are young,
and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
God will bring you into judgment.
10 So then, banish anxiety from your heart
and cast off the troubles of your body,
for youth and vigor are meaningless.
I have found that I can't go back and do things different.
Life is short my friends and you must purpose to make the best out of each day of life. I miss out on things at times, because I let my emotions get in the way. You might not feel as if you are young, but you are. I heard a 90 years old woman named Aggie, talk about her young years and that was 70 years old to her. She began to talk to me about life and how one day it just all comes to an end and here you are. She was a school teacher of a one room class room back in the day. What she didn't know, was she taught me a lot in that one room care home. I'll never forget her kindness to me and her laugh. I miss you Aggie as you rest in Heaven now.
Age is a constant change daily. We grow older while still being young. Don't miss out on life and those things that can bring your pleasure in a day. A smile of a child, a good book, a simple hi to a stranger and so many little things of life. Maybe you are not rich with money, but you are rich with thoughts and actions to others. Maybe your life is a bigger example than you might realize and someone would truly miss you if you weren't here on earth. Don't take things for granted or people. Life is short and I know that all too well.
1 Peter 5:7 New International Version (NIV)Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
It can be hard to cast those stress moments away, but you can do it. Let go of what you can't change and that's much easier said than done. Grab onto the things you can do better or don't miss out on. I remember doing a class at church and this person said they could only drive to the parking lot, but couldn't get out the car. The unknown of walking into a group of people was a bit too much. I was so excited that this person got to the parking lot. That was huge just to drive there and it showed so much actions toward trying. Don't beat yourself up over things you can't do today but you are working toward in life. Sometimes it only one step at a time and the next step will come.
My thoughts and prayers are with the readers of my blog, your family and friends. Thank you for taking time to share a few minutes of thoughts. I do care about each of you.
