Ephesians 3:14-19 New International Version (NIV)
A Prayer for the Ephesians
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
I am thinking about this journey of life today. God has brought me through many trouble waters and heartbreak of life. I've seen to much to doubt the power of God. I know that today we face different things and our lives are in different places. Just like the season of winter, spring, summer and fall. A different weather pattern and we never know what one day will bring.
I am currently on vacation with my husband, my son (Chad) and two granddaughters (Brookley and Willow). Chad has blessed us with a 3 day trip to Disneyland and CA Adventure. We will be gone 5 days with him. Before that, we were with the girls (Brookey and Willow mom Ashley). Ashley and her husband Chris are in a business called Lularoe. They had a Conference in Anaheim, they asked Terry and I to come watch the 4 girls, then go to Disneyland with them. They would pay for everything. Such a great blessing and fun. Then before that, our daughter and her husband have a family lake house. It cost us only gas to get there. Such a blessings and time with Tracy, Sean, Austin, Ryan and Boden. We spent 7 days with them at the Lake.
I'm trying to show how God has blessed my husband and I will family. It is through the hard work of others, that we are financially blessed. We count it an honor to be GRANDparents and family. People are telling us how lucky we are and we do see that. The Bible says this:
Luke 6:38 New International Version (NIV)
Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Terry and I may not have a lot of money to give, but we have time. Time in sharing who we are to our family and to others. Who gets almost a month of vacation and needs little money? We did and we are full of joy to be honored with an amazing family. I often wondered about the Bible scripture Luke 6:38 and now I feel it in a new way. We have given to families who needed a car, bills paid and just dollars. We had a lot at one time and did not plan money out right. I look back today and see who God is blessings us now and how we bless others with time.
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME and ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD
Go ahead today and trust him. Trust him in the unseen things and now his power still happens. Miracles are taking places in our lives and we know that God is able to handle your now. Maybe your season doesn't seem like blessings, but hold on. Hold on to the truth that God is able.
Once again, I thank my family and I thank my friends who have texted me, called me and stayed in touch while we have been gone. I've learned to live in today and count blessings of each day of life. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
