Psalm 118:24 New International Version (NIV)
The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
A new day starts off with thoughts. Do you find yourself complaining it's morning or giving thanks for a new day? I find myself giving thanks, because I truly am happy I have another day of life. The Bible says that joy comes in the morning ~ Psalm 30:5
2 Peter 3:8 New International Version (NIV)
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
THIS DAY ~
We can read scriptures and see that God's timing on things, may not be our timing. When God speaks of one day being like a thousand years, that's a long time or a thousands years are like a day. When we are born, it is written down the time and the date we were born. Time travels on and we age one day at a time. So why not live one day at a time with a praise in our mouth and joy in our hearts.
We do not know what this day holds for any of us. We can make our plans, but things can suddenly come our way. I find that starting my day off with prayer, is a key factor in my attitude for this day. I ask God for guidance in this new day. Let my words be good ones and my attitude to reflection a Godly character. I am human and do make mistakes which makes me grateful for second chances in some areas of life. Putting a new song and praise in your heart is important.
Psalm 40:3-5 New International Version (NIV)
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him.
4 Blessed is the one
who trusts in the Lord,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods.
5 Many, Lord my God,
are the wonders you have done,
the things you planned for us.
None can compare with you;
were I to speak and tell of your deeds,
they would be too many to declare.
THIS DAY ~
We must purpose our minds to know who God is to us. Then we find our praise for what God has already done for us. Have you ever heard someone say this, if you could walk a mile in my shoes? As a kid I heard that and wasn't sure what that mean. As a adult, I understand it means that the person has gone through a lot more than I might realize in life. I try hard not to compare my life to anyone else and yet, have those moments of doing it. Taking back my thoughts to my own life and thanking God for this new day of praise in my soul. Our mindsets are so important to be on positive and not negative.
I believe in God and I believe in action. We can talk about something and not be a doer of it. Living in America, we have opportunities to be anything we desire to be in life. Each day brings new options and chances to live your dreams. I'm working toward living my dream in a new way. I must view myself the way God does and the ability is inside of me. How about you? Life is too short not to live your dream.
Purpose to do your best today in thoughts and actions!
My prayers are with you, your family and friends to live your dream this day. To jump into a new beginning with a cheerful heart and a determination beyond a human understanding. Happy New Day!
