Christmas Time brings pressure on people to buy things. Not just for people they love but people they feel obligated to buy for in life. I hope I am never an obligation to anyone. I have asked for things, I didn't get. I have gotten things I didn't want. I have been blessed, spoiled and well taken care of in life. I'm thankful for everything but I hope I am never an obligation to anyone. Sometimes we think too much and need to focus on what we do have in life. A possibility for things to become greater.
I have two kids who are adults now. As they were growing up, I wanted to give them everything I didn't get in life. I still could not do that because of money, but we certainly did our best. I do the same for my grandchildren now. I need to plan ahead for special occasions and I realize, I can only do what I can do. I can give them LOVE and be there for them in all seasons of life. I know that God gave us his best through his son and his love. Love never stops giving from the middle of our hearts to those we care about. Balance out our thoughts, give praise for what we do have and just do your best to be there for others.

Let us not forget the reason for this season is Jesus. The birth of a baby boy that would change the world and his purpose continues today. Many years have passed and the Christmas Story is read to kids and adults. A promise of so much and we tend to over ride the purpose by buying gifts for people and forgetting the reason for the season. I am glad I have gone through so much in life. It helps me to write with compassion and understanding of hearts.
Let us remember that Life can be hard, but the Bible says:
Matthew 19:26 (NIV)26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
God changes our hearts and that changes our reactions to things. We learn to lean on God and allow him freedom to change us. Our thinking changes to positive and our voice goes to praise. If you could only see where God has brought me from in life. That's the thing, God has brought us each from places we may never know about. Yet, his power is real and strong. He wants the best for us daily and wants us to live in freedom of thoughts. Thoughts that might hold you back and there is no holding back a child of God. Believe BIG and hold onto faith in this new day!
Maybe life has not turned out the way you thought, but you can certainly count some blessings right now. I know I can say that and God has bless me beyond words. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
