Deuteronomy 31:6-8 New International Version (NIV)
6 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
7 Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you must go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their ancestors to give them, and you must divide it among them as their inheritance. 8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
God keeps his promises
We learn to wait on answers from God. We wonder about things and we must not let the unknown things divide our hearts. There are times in life when our prayers don't get answered the way we think they should. I remember when we had to sale our house in Pinole Ca and I loved that house. There was so much anger in my soul. I didn't know why God would give us a house and take it away. I was 32 years old and my mind just wondered. Later in life, I understood it wasn't God who did that. It was our poor planning of money and too much credit card debit. We could have done things different and kept the home, but can't go back to what we should have done moments. We learn and grow from our own mistakes or was it? Had we not lost the house, we would have never moved across the bridge to a new life. That new life has brought many new friends, a new church and live continues to change.
We can make the best out of brokenness of life and good parts of life. If we believe God guides us and the unknown path has a purpose. I know can look at my life almost 30 years later and see the why of us moving here. I have grown so much in God, letting go of what I can not change and changing the things I can. God is able to handle your now and my now of life. I am able to release my own dreams to God and allow him to guide me gently by his spirit. I know that I am an example to many and I do my best daily to keep a positive attitude of life. God is able and that's a statement we must all remember in life. Especially when the harder times of life comes to us.
Let's go back to the hesitance in God. He puts ours lives on a path and gives free will. One day we will rest with him in Heaven and know that things are earth are for a short time. I do believe life is short and we don't know what will happen today. Let us learn to live in the peace of God in all ways. Let us be people who makes a difference and share hope as we speak. The love of God remains the same and our attitudes are so important. As you look into the mirror this day, see the strong and courageous person that God made you. You are important and your life affects others, but your dreams are valuable. Don't give up believing on your answer and don't set a time line of God's answers to you.
Psalm 37:4 New International Version (NIV)Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
I do believe that God will give you the desires of your heart. His thing is not always our timing and I have learned this to be true. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
