2 Corinthians 5:17 English Standard Version
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
THINGS CHANGE ~ Thinking about the butterfly and it can fly. The former life was a caterpillar and crawling on the earth. The process of what it went through was amazing. Who would have ever thought that a caterpillar crawling upon the ground would someday changed into such a beauty.
When I was a kid, I saw myself so different than I do today. Things in my life just seem to come hard. There were days I was so scared of what might happen in life. I never understood where the fear came from until I go older. I would hear my mother's stories about her life, I saw how fear came to her as a kid. Her mother was only 5 years old when she died. Leaving her without a mother and being passed around to brothers and sisters in her life. My mom would say that nobody really wanted her in life, until she met my dad. Her vision of herself wasn't that beautiful butterfly, but that of which life was hard.
In life, things change. Each of us change from the point of being a kid and then an adult. We take on things in which we should and things that we should not take on. Life challenges us to become better and see ourselves as the beautiful butterfly. Transformed from what we were, into a new creation in God. Not everyone does this and they become bitter people. Still crawling in anger, frustrations and not changing into hope. The Bibles says there is beauty in ashes. Things change and we must see that positive change in each of our lives.
Isaiah 61:1-3 New International Version
The Year of the Lord’s Favor
61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion--
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
CHANGE ~ there is something about looking up! High in the sky of hope, love and beauty. I love how the sky is different everyday of life. It reminds me of who is in charge of my life. God has given me a choice to live in daily praise and I do choose that for my life. I hope you can see where God has brought you from in life. There is a new beginning each day and putting on the garment of praise of important. Seeing through the eye of God of hope and not defeat. The enemy of your soul would love to stop you from looking up. Just like that caterpillar in life, it was changed into beauty. My life and your life is the same, taken away from looking down on life and now looking up!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
