The Bible holds stories and scriptures that can guide us daily. Reading the word of God opens our minds to how to live our lives. Walking in the truth and knowing God is able helps us. I was talking with someone about life. She began to tell me what my example has meant to her. The stories I share and how faith comes alive. It totally blessed my life to hear her words. She continue to say that I have wisdom. It made me think about the word wisdom. Does it come with age? Does it happen because we learn from things and choose to do better? I believe that wisdom come as we make choices of life. We choose to live the word of God and not make the same mistake twice.
Psalm 1191 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to the law of the Lord.
2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes
and seek him with all their heart--
3 they do no wrong
but follow his ways.
4 You have laid down precepts
that are to be fully obeyed.
5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast
in obeying your decrees!
6 Then I would not be put to shame
when I consider all your commands.
7 I will praise you with an upright heart
as I learn your righteous laws.
8 I will obey your decrees;
do not utterly forsake me.
the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.
Nobody is perfect and we can certainly learn from yesterdays of life. Never live in regret but push yourself forward in making different choices in some areas of life. The bible says:
1 Corinthians 13:11 New International Version (NIV)When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
Growing up and learning continues everyday of life. Nobody knows it all and I've seen God work through the hardest of situations. Turning what was meant for harm, into good. Shining in our lives and through our lives. People watch our examples and we might not realize that. Remember when you were a kid and you just wanted someone to hear you? When is my voice as a kid and was told to go to my room a lot more than I had wanted to go. I was a kid who wanted to grow up and have a voice. A voice that would matter and a life that would teach kindness to others. It's crazy how we can see our lives different as a kid and then as an adult.
Wisdom comes to those who choose to learn from yesterdays and continue our journey of life with freedom. Freedom from words spoke over us or to us. Freedom in knowing God forgives and forgets. Freedom to walk our lives with God and holding true to ourselves. There is so much to gain daily and we can learn from all situations of life. Grow into a better person and not bitter.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
