Hebrews 10:24-25 New Living Translation (NLT)
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. 25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
MEETING TOGETHER ~
Time with others can bring us encouragement or also sadness. It is the way we view things. I was telling a friend how I was at a beautiful lake house and my thoughts went to me wishing I owned the place. I was missing out on the enjoying of my moments there and allowing my thoughts to run away. After pulling my thoughts back together, I started enjoying my time with family there. I find it true that we do compare our lives at times and the outcome of our thoughts are important.
Isaiah 26:3-5 New International Version (NIV)
3 You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you.
4 Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.
5 He humbles those who dwell on high,
he lays the lofty city low;
he levels it to the ground
and casts it down to the dust.
PERFECT PEACE ~
Allowing you thoughts to stay positive and knowing your life is in God
Our own decisions makes a huge different. My husband and I wear talking about our years in our 30's. How we wished we had done somethings different. Realizing we can't go back and change one thing of the past. We can change our future by doing things different now. Resting in who we are in God and not allowing words of others to sway us. Being stedfast in God is knowing that God has this. Jeremiah 29:11 holds true for all of us. God does have a pan, a promise and a future. It is our decisions that makes a difference.
I have found God to be true in all situations of my life. Never leaving me, although I left him at times. Times of disappointment and my view was cloudy. My attitude and my decisions matter. My example to others matter and so does yours. Be the light in someone's else life, but it begins in yours. Like the person you see in the mirror and spur them on. Yes, I'm talking about you. We each face difficult things in life, hard decisions and the outcome can turn to joy. Down the road of life, we can view things different. How about we start today and view our lives as over comers? Share some smiles today and encouragement words to someone.
THE WAY WE LOOK AT THINGS ~ MATTERS
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
