FLOWERS ~
Blossom of a plant.
MY THOUGHT TODAY:
Before the storm, there was a gentle calm in the air. I looked up to see the sky changing and I knew things would soon be different. I look at the flowers and felt a calm come over me. The plant started with a little seed and as it was watered, it began to grow.
Matthew 13:31-32
Parable of the Mustard Seed
31 Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. 32 It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.”
YOUR LIFE ~
You were created to change things. God has given us new life and he wants us to move into the plan he has for us. Prayer changes things which changes you. Maybe not all your prayers get answered the way you want and you are left feeling like God does not hear you. I've been there lots of time and the wonder of it all over takes my brain plus heart. Asking why and crying so much. I look back on my life to see the tears as times of God watering my soul. I need to turn to him and trust in his word (Bible). Trust that even the craziest of times he is working things out. It time to stir up some faith.
Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
SEEDS PLANTED ~
The story of a flower, the seed was planted and watered. The story of your life, the seed was planted and there are watering times of life. The storms that changed us from the inside out. The tears of sorrow and the tears of joy. Both mixed together to bring us to where we are today. There will be things in life that we will never understand. The wonder of it all can changed us so much. It's time to put some wonder to rest and press forward.
Philippians 3:14-15 (NIV)I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Following Paul’s Example15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.
Think upon things of God. Look into the sky and see how it changes. There may be clouds, rain, wind and then the sun comes out out. The calm in the air brings some birds singing, no wind and a brighter day. Through each season of change, there is positive. The positive of breathing still, looking at things in a good way and allowing God to move your heart toward him. It is a process of change and don't be to hard on yourself. The lack of jobs, money, homes, cars and needs are hard to understand. But God will turn things around as you begin again.
WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT ~
We are like flowers of different kinds and our purpose is now
I was talking with someone who said this, "I am able to go to the store and buy whatever I want". That statement made me think because I've not been able to do that. I have to plan my money carefully, pick and choose what I buy. I do need to look at prices and sometimes I can't buy what I want. Our income has changed greatly since my husband retirement. It's been very hard, but we are thankful for what we do have in this life. Never compare your life to someone else or you might find yourself sad.
Here I am writing you today and sharing hope of one seed planted. God has created you for purpose and you are of beauty. One life matters and what your choices too. Go ahead and step into faith today and share some thank you moments with God. Turn your focus to him, what you do have and never take for granted this day. Things change suddenly and remember that you are important!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
