A journey begins as we go forward.
Psalm 25:4-5 New International Version (NIV)
4 Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
THE ROAD ~
I have begun a trip and find I come to a road that splits. A sudden decision needs to be made on which way do I turn. If I have planned my trip, I may know about this split in the road or not. Things change and we must be ready to make sudden decisions in life. I like to compare it to life, because things do come up even in our greatest plans. God speaks of learning his ways and letting him lead. That also takes wisdom on our part to know what to do and not to do in life.
Psalm 32:8-11 New International Version (NIV)
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
9 Do not be like the horse or the mule,
which have no understanding
but must be controlled by bit and bridle
or they will not come to you.
10 Many are the woes of the wicked,
but the Lord’s unfailing love
surrounds the one who trusts in him.
11 Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!
ROAD OF LIFE ~
We learn and we grow daily.
There are times along the road of life we must encourage ourselves. Things don't look so good and not going the way we thought it would. A sudden change and now faced with a new normal. New normals are not always easy. People can see the happy picture you might post on Facebook and behind the picture is a story of sadness. Nobody really knows you, but God. God comes in when you feel alone or misplaced in this life. He can guide us to a place of peace and rest in him. We must allow God to move in ways we might not understand because he knows what is down the road. We can not compare our life to anyone else, because God made you to be you!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
