Written on a piece of paper were words of a report. A report that defines me and explains to others who I am. I was asked to be give birth certificate that proves where I was born and to whom. I was born in St. Louis Missouri and yet I don't remember it. Ever since birth, things define me.
My life continues on and there will be more things that define. Some of which is true and not true. People tend to believe things and they don't even know more. I love how the Bible tells me that I was formed before I was born. Just as God spoke words about Jeremiah, he speaks words about each of us. You were designed by God and the purpose is larger than you might think.
Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
THE REPORT ~
Gave details of a certain event
I remember being in school and the teacher was going to give a test. A test to see what we had learned inside her class room. I was so nervous the day before and I wondered if I would past the test. I did pass and that same feeling continued on through school years. During our schools years, we given a report card. A list of subject and grades of accomplishments. The report comes out either good, bad or maybe a mixture of both.
I have another kind of report to share today also. The report that Jesus says about you and me. He has given it all and we only need to accept ourselves the way he does. The challenge is to become better people daily and working toward the high mark of God.
Philippians 3:14 (KJV)
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
In life, we can compare our report cards and our lives. We were not designed to be the same. Each of us learn the same and different. I remember my son being in first grade, the principal of the school told him, "each child learns different and we will find the way you learn". Chad got a big smile on his little face and say mom, "I really want to read". He struggled, but by the end of that year, he began to read. It was a process of how to help him and I look back to see how important those words became to him.
Each of us are going through life in a different way. Some are happy in giving birth to a child, others want to give birth to a child and some never want a child. Others experiences the death of a child or loved one. The report given by a doctor, boss or leader can affect us greatly. Let us not forget that God leads us. Let us not forget that God gives and takes away. He knows what is best for us and yet our hearts are whole, broken or just cracked. Finding that place of a good report and only God can give that. Only you can accept his forgiveness in life and his love beyond a human understanding. God is greater than anything and yet we need each other in this life.
THE REPORT ~
God connected our lives for purpose. Never compare your life to anyone else. You might not know their complete story and the after effects of one decision. Although, you might see the affects of their now and certainly wouldn't walk their walk before their now. I hope that makes sense but just be you. You were created, designed and loved by many. You are important and special in the eyes of God and others. We never know the depth of a life often until it's gone. So don't let today go by without sharing how much you care about someone special.
I thank you for taking time to read this, plant hope within your heart and share a smile along the way. Even as tears have poured down my face last night, I shared a smile with lady walking by. She never knew I was crying only minutes before. The report my mother in law/love got from the doctor, was she has days to live. End of life process and shutting down of organs. Help me pray peace for her and she will rest in Heaven soon. She is a wonderful woman who took care of many people as they went to Heaven. Now she faces her turn and we just want to be there for her. The report given by God is there is a time for all things. A time to be born and a time to die ~ Ecclesiastes Chapter 3
Your report is written and still being written. You are a child of God and his plan unfolds as Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Remember, God gives good news of salvation, hope, desires of your heart and promises to come to true. There are seasons for all things, but today is a now. Make the best of this new day and count blessings.
