2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
THE PROCESS ~
A butterfly reminds me of the power of God. God took the caterpillar that crawled, into a butterfly that flies high above the ground. God takes our lives and turns into something beautiful. He takes our ashes and turns them into beauty. Each of us have made mistakes and maybe even regrets, but God can take anything away and restores lives.
Romans 12:2 (ESV)
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
FREEDOM ~ is what I think about with the Butterfly. By flapping it's wings, it rises high into the sky. It also has the ability to stay still. Much like God teaches us. There is a time to fly, a time to listen and be still. Throughout our lives we will face trails and test of our faith. Maybe a suddenly illness hits you or a loved one. Your trust in God begins to build because you call people to pray.
I remember so many times of life when all I had, was to called upon Jesus. I didn't understand my season, but I reach out to people who prayed. I didn't just wake up one day and become a woman of faith. It was process of trusting God and knowing that he helped me through one thing, two things and the lists goes on. God is my source and strength through it all. But I will tell you that he places people in our path for a reason. God doesn't want us to walk this life alone.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Friendship ~ to have a friend, you must be a friend.
As a new day is here, let us recall some great things God has already done for us. I posted a picture on Facebook with Santa and a little boy asking him to pray for a baby who is on life support. Santa did knee down and pray with the 4 year old boy. Such faith for a child to another child and felt to ask Santa. It reminded me of the process in prayer. Going to the man you think will answer your prayers. Children believe in Santa and Jesus.
Matthew 18:2-4 (NIV)
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
As an adult, we might not understand the process but keep the faith! Never stop believing or praying. Prayer is the key that unlocks amazing doors. I've been through a lot in life and I know that God answers prayers. Maybe not always the way I think, but I can look back and see his plan in action. As you enter into the new day, my prayers are with you, your families and friends. This season of Christmas is not always easy for everyone and memories seem to take over. I know this too well, but I also believe that God can give new memories and help you through all seasons.
