Peter Declares That Jesus Is the Messiah
13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” 14 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.
THE KEYS I HOLD ~
God gives us keys of the kingdom of heaven
We have the opportunity to serve God and enter Heaven. Each of our lives holds knowledge and wisdom to share in this life. Giving God your heart and your mind opens amazing doors of hope, joy plus peace. Resting in knowing God is at work in your life and you have a chance to let God use your life. Each negative story and each positive story molds together to make you.
KEYS ~ Are gifts that God has given you.
I was trying to get in a door that was locked. I had to wait on someone to open the door. I didn't have the key I needed to get into that room without the teacher's key. There are keys to get into our cars and homes too. We only want certain people who can get into our personal places of life. However about our soul? God has given us keys of wisdom, knowledge, and kindness. The list of what God has given each of us is so long. Don't miss out on giving thanks for a new day and yesterdays. It is my yesterdays that I have grown through and saw how God has blessed me. I hold a key of thanksgiving daily and I tell God thank you for a new day.
PSALM 37:4 (NIV)
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
It's a sad feeling when you loose your keys or even one key. Sometimes we need to get replacements of a key. There is a mold for that key and there is a mold for your life. God has created you before you were born. His plan continues and unfolds daily. We might like somethings of life, but allow God to open new doors for you. Allow him to change you inside and hold tight to faith. I have found my life is better as I keep my mind stay on him. Romans 12:1-2 renew your mind. I give thanks to God for all the keys that have open amazing doors for me. Doors I didn't even know I wanted open, but God knew. I stand in amazement at his love and presence in my life. I hope you do too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
