MY JOURNEY ~
I've learned a lot over time. I believe that God created us to look higher than we imagine. His power is real and we wants to use our lives. I am reminded of his disciples and how God called them from different walks of life. One day he sent them out to fulfill purpose.
Luke 9:1-6 New Living Translation (NLT)
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Disciples
9 One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. 2 Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick. 3 “Take nothing for your journey,” he instructed them. “Don’t take a walking stick, a traveler’s bag, food, money, or even a change of clothes. 4 Wherever you go, stay in the same house until you leave town. 5 And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”
6 So they began their circuit of the villages, preaching the Good News and healing the sick.
YOUR JOURNEY ~
TAKE NOTHING FOR YOUR JOURNEY
Only you can accomplish what God has called you to do. One day God said, "now is the time". Jesus send out the twelve disciples and he sends us out too. Our paths are different and yet they cross. Here you are reading what I am writing today. A powerful message of hope and the journey that God has given you. Brought together with words and then to action. I can talk about the word of God all day long, but my life must reflect that too. Maybe your journey of life hasn't been quite what you thought. I know mine hasn't been and I never thought I would have made it through the hardest of time. I can look back and see how God put people along my journey to encourage me. Not only encourage me, but to become faithful friends. I don't doubt the power of God or his plan for my life. I do know that free will comes into play and our decisions make a difference.
Yesterday, I was planning on going to a movie with my friend Lori. I got a terrible headache and had to cancel. I felt bad about it and she was so understanding. Our plans sometimes do change and we must believe that God has a plan in it. I choose to live by Jeremiah 29:11 A plan, A promise and A future. It's all part of the journey of life. I like to go to this: I wouldn't take nothing for my journey now. Just like the weather changes daily, God's mercy is continues.
Lamentations 3:22-23 English Standard Version (ESV)
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
YOUR JOURNEY ~
Life all mixed together with good and hard times. Jesus shines like the star in the sky and the brightness of a new day. Give thanks unto the Lord and remember where he brought you from in life. There is always a beginning, middle and end. God is faithful and I know this. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
