I had the privilege to travel to San Francisco with some ladies from my church on Saturday. We had time to talk, shop and eat. It was a lot of walking (About 5 miles according to step wrist bands on some), but such a beautiful day. It was light rain but not cold. Just a refreshing feeling in the air. I know that God brought our lives together and I didn't buy one thing. It was the time with them that was such a joy. I am glad I put my trust in God, surrendered my heart years ago and begin a new day with friends.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 New Century Version (NCV)
7 “But the person who trusts in the Lord will be blessed.
The Lord will show him that he can be trusted.
8 He will be strong, like a tree planted near water
that sends its roots by a stream.
It is not afraid when the days are hot;
its leaves are always green.
It does not worry in a year when no rain comes;
it always produces fruit.
MY JOURNEY ~
Life hasn't turned out the way I thought it would. I had this picture perfect family, house, car and even designed the inside of my home. Little did I know that things would change over time. I would see sorrows and my heart would break. We would need to sale our house, move into a two bedroom apartment and wait for the next step. Yet, I would find a trust in God that is unexplainable at times. I just know that God will handle anything I face and I face it with courage. Yes there will be tears at times, but joy does come back.
When the verse speaks to be strong like a tree planted near water. It is so the roots go into the stream. Just like our souls, God has us planted by living water of Jesus. So many things changes and God remains the same. We just can't stop believing and holding fast to God's word (Bible).
Ecclesiastes 11:5-7 New International Version (NIV)
5 As you do not know the path of the wind,
or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb,
so you cannot understand the work of God,
the Maker of all things.
6 Sow your seed in the morning,
and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
whether this or that,
or whether both will do equally well.
THE JOURNEY ~
There will be things we don't understand. It is impossible to figure it out, but God has a plan. That is where trusting God comes in and you set your mind on him. There is a time to be born and there will be a time to die. It is according to the word of God and his plan. Nobody knows that day or time, but God. Leaning to him in all areas of life is so valuable and important.
I get up every morning to write you. I go to bed thankful this day, but so looking forward to tomorrow. My brother taught me to live as if it were my last day on earth but plan for tomorrow. He knew the value of time as he was told he had cancer. Who knew in less than one year, he would enter Heaven. The importance of time in each of us lives, is valuable. Let not a day go by without sharing love, kindness and hope to others. Looking into the mirror and see your face that was created by God. God looks at us as his children and wants the best for each of us. Giving us a free will and choices on a daily bases.
My prayers continue for you, your family and prayers!
