2 Thessalonians 1:3 New International Version (NIV)
Thanksgiving and Prayer
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
THAT LOOK ~
When you see yourself the way God does, you will walk in confidence. Just knowing that God has a plan for my life becomes so real. I like how you can open the Bible and find scripture to encourage others and yourself. I was reading about David and came across how he encouraged himself when he was under much distress. David found strength in the Lord. He didn't look to another person, but to God.
1 Samuel 30:6 New International Version (NIV)
David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
THAT LOOK ~
So what happens when you get the opposite look from positive and you have disappointed others? Maybe you have not come up to their expectations of life and you feel ashamed or defeated? I've been there too in life and I can promise you this, God makes a way out. We each have feelings, emotions and our own actions of life to handle. Never let your emotions take you away from God's words or promises for your life. Each of us have sinned and fallen short the Bible says:
Romans 3:23-24 New International Version (NIV)23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
THAT LOOK ~
WHEN JESUS FORGIVES AND FORGETS
Look into the mirror of your own life. Past mistakes are past, new beginnings are here and God gives us a brand new start. Making this day a day of freedom and having THAT LOOK from God that says good job my child. It's people that remind us of negative and sometimes positives. We can clearly how the negative can follow us by remembering things, but God says start again. After all, Easter is coming and that should remind us of what God did for each of us. How one life makes a difference then and now by a man named Jesus. We don't always see ourselves the way God does. We picture words from others and we must let the negative go.
WORDS ~
I had people speak negative words over me and I had to learn to cast those words down. As a child I was told I wasn't smart like other kids by a teacher. I was told never to sing again by a choir director. I wasn't liked much by kids in grade school. I often cried myself to sleep as a kid and even adult. I grew up in an angry home at times. When I got in middle school, I started getting friends. I began to hear the words they said about me being so nice. I became an adult and found other friendships too. I learned that I could have a friend in Jesus and that sparked my interest. Life moves forward and now I teach others to be kind. I do my best to live what I teach or I just won't teach it. I look into the mirror now and I see that look that God gave me. I like what I see in the mirror inside and out. After all, God continues to use each of us after our YES to him.
Purpose this a good day that you see THAT LOOK that God gave you! You are an overcomer by the words of you own testimony and your look of freedom through him. Go and rejoice in a new day and count blessings. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
