Colossians 3:13 New International Version (NIV)
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
THANKSGIVING DAY ~
This day brings people together who care about each other. It also brings people together who really don't care about each other. We join in family and friends for this special day called Thanksgiving. Many Americans have turkey on this day and a table filled with mashed potatoes, carrots, dressing, rolls, corn and more. I remember when my mom was alive, she always wanted cranberry sauce. I'll never forget the year I forgot it. Some people just have favorite things and it makes the day. What makes your Thanksgiving special? It is the memory of someone gone or the time with family plus friends. Life is full of change but lets not forget the importance of those around us now. The now of living is so important.
I would like you to stop and think of five things you are Thankful for today. It will only take a few minutes to think of things. Let me do mine now:
1. Thankful for life
2. Thankful for Jesus
3. Thankful for health
4. Thankful for family and friends
5. Thankful for you (reader of my blog)
PSALM 118:24 (NIV)
The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
Lets pray:
God, I know this is a day to give thanks, but there are many who hurt today. They are missing loved ones around the table. Life changes and you take us to Heaven. There will be someone who enters Heaven this day and someone else who will be born. I rest in knowing you are right here and each of our lives holds a divine purpose. Let our words be encouraging today and our lives examples to others. Maybe we have that one person who we will see today that makes life hard. Help us and we continue our day filled with thanks. Place peace within hearts and minds. I remember holidays when we didn't have much food, but you always seem to provide for us. Help others today that are in that place of life. Help those who need you more than they know. Giving thanks today for life, family and friends. AMEN
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY 2018
