It brings back memories of years past and sometimes frustrations of the day. Many people are extremely happy today as family gathers together. Some travel far distances and others just drive across town. Sounds of voices within one house and hearing laughter of kids playing.
Others find themselves frustrated over family changes and a great divide within one family. Maybe a loved one in heaven, a divorce that divides or just living life alone. Things change over time and we learn new normals. Let us not forget that God remains the same and we must purpose this day giving thanks to God for all we do have in life.
2 Corinthians 4:13-15 New International Version (NIV)
It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
I believe that God knows best for each of us. God speaks of change in our lives. Some of us were born into families that maybe did know best. Things were hard and we grew up with much heartbreak. Others were born into the perfect family or is there a perfect family? It appears so because of pictures, but the truth is, someone sacrificed along the way of life to build a family financial, spiritual and physically. I listen to stories of families with much success. It was their great grandparents or parents who sacrificed to build from the ground up. It didn't just happen, but took time. Each of us have an opportunity to build our lives with God, be that example and make great financial choices.
Maybe your great grandparents or parents did not have success in dollars or even treated you right. The good news is this, God has a plan for your life and you can make a difference for your life now and your next generation. A praying person is behind the scenes of your life. Do you know how I know this? I am praying for you, the reader of my blog and your family and friends daily I ask God the best for those connected to this page. Even if I don't know you, but God does. I know that prayers matter and God can change our hearts to grow better in life and not bitter.
I write from a place of brokenness and I've allowed God to use my fingers to write you. God has healed my heart from many heartbreaks and I've seen many miracles in my life. Many families gather today to celebrate a day in American we call Thanksgiving. Families are not made up of the same personalities or the same thought pattern. It takes one person making a difference with kindness and showing the love of God. Being a good example is far greater than you might realize. Keep in mind, that many people do not go to church and your Jesus example will go into action on this day.
THIS IS THE DAY THAT GOD HAS MADE ~
Psalm 118:24 New International Version (NIV)
The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
To all the men and women who sacrificed for our country. As we sit down with family and friends, let us remember those who gave it all. A prayer of thanksgiving and a time to remember all the great things our lives hold. The freedom of walking free in American and the freedom of thoughts. Turning our lives to God and allow him to mold each of us. Forgetting those things we can change and change the things we can. It's a new day, a day of blessings and to count them. Purpose this a good day.
If you could see how far God has brought me from in life. A true place of brokenness and defeat. He set my feet on a new path and I've learn to count blessing daily. When you put Jesus in your heart, your mindset changes and you learn a new way of thinking. Not only thinking, but living. A peace beyond a human understanding can be yours too. If you don't know God, ask him into your heart and to forgive you of your sins. It's that simple and open the Bible to begin a learning experience. Find a good church that teaches the Bible and let God connect you to people.
If you live in Napa area, I would like to invite you to my church Hillside Christian Church 100 Anderson Road, Napa. You can google it and check out our website. I've been there for over 15 years and I find it to be a place where great friendships happens while learning about God.
To my family, I thank you for all the support you give me in writing and time. Time is the best gift ever and I value that more than words can say. I pray blessings and hearts desires to come true quickly. I pray you see the miracle working power of God and much happiness to all. I pray this for the readers of my blog too. Never forget that Jesus Loves you. There will be times we don't understand God's plan, but trusting God through it all is important.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY~
