THE GOOD OLD DAYS! There are stories to be told in life. I saw this picture of a Grandpa and little girl. I thought of Willow who is 4 years old and she loves her PA. She told him she misses going fishing, to the park and time with him. He has been very busy taking care of his mom and being a good son. His granddaughters want time with him. Brookley calls him, "PA HONEY BEAR". I totally believe one of the greatest gifts in life is time and it creates memories with others.
Things change for a reason and life moves on. One day you are a kid and the next day you are an adult. We used to count 1/2 years as we grew up and as we get older, we tend to not want to count those 1/2 years. I remember stories as a kid, but I've honestly learned more as an adult. I see the importance of one day, telling someone I love them or care bout them. We never know what might happen next in life.
TELL ME ABOUT ~
The good old days......
Ecclesiastes 7:10-12 (NIV)
10 Do not say, “Why were the old days better than these?”
For it is not wise to ask such questions.
11 Wisdom, like an inheritance, is a good thing
and benefits those who see the sun.
12 Wisdom is a shelter
as money is a shelter,
but the advantage of knowledge is this:
Wisdom preserves those who have it.
TELL ME ABOUT ~
Growing wise.......
1 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV)
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
INHERTIANCE ~
Wisdom preserves those who have it. Think about life and how quickly things change. Let your mind wonder into the promises of God and take responsibility for your life. At some point, the little kid grows up and becomes an older person. Wisdom needs to rest inside of you and come out as you speak. Others need to walk this walk of faith and watch God move mountains.
Just as Willow and Brookley wanted their PA, God wants us. Knowing that he is our father in heaven and will take care of our lives. Maybe things haven't turned out the way you thought, but the good old days are gone. Memories of things and yet a new beginning. We can choose to recall the good in everything and believe in God big. Our choices make or break our day. I often think of being a child and the way things were. It makes me want more time with them and more smiles. We never know what today holds, but we have now. Let us make our now the best we can.
We have an inheritance is God that is amazing. We have the Bible as a roadmap to Heaven and examples through it. We all make mistakes and new beginnings are important. Never forgetting where God has brought us from and counting blessings in this day. I'm thankful that God has open my eyes to see with wisdom and make better choices than I did years ago.
My prayers continue for you and your family/friends. I thank you for taking the time to read this and sharing 2 to 3 minutes with me. I hope you will pass this on and let others know they matter in your life too. The good old days are today. Purpose a smile through it all and believe BIG!
