Ephesians 2:8-10 New Living Translation (NLT)
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
:Something done with great skill
Psalm 139:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
On Sunday, I had just left church to meet friends for a brunch. I suddenly looked around and saw people talking, laughing and sharing time. Some looked like they came from a sports game, others dressed in fancy clothes and some just casual. The point is, I could tell each came from a different place and even people at the same table were dressed different. We don't dress alike to much unless it's on the same sports team or we are celebrating a special event. My point is, we got up to dress different because we are different. We dress the same to support our cause or game.
What about going to church? There are different churches, different beliefs and we might wonder who is right. In believing the Bible, we believe that God created Jesus to be one of a kind and different. His heart of compassion and leadership still leads many today. The Bible tells us, to work all your own salvation ~
Philippians 2:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
As we enter the presence of God, we learn of new thoughts and ways. It is easier for me to tell you how to let go, than for me to let go of somethings. The past can haunt us and the devil is real but let us not forget that God created us to overcome. God knew that we would make mistakes and he made a way out of sin for each of us.
Romans 5:8 New Living Translation (NLT)But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
TALKING TO GOD ~
It all begins with a conversation. I'll show you know how I do it ~
God, it's me (Sparkie). I thank you for words to write on my blog today. I'm glad you gave me grace to forgive myself of my own mistakes (Sin). I turn to you everyday of life and I know that it is you who gives me life. I might not always understand your plan for me, but I trust you. I ask you now, if there is anything in my heart that stops me from pressing forward with the right attitude, that you will change it. I am glad I don't walk this life alone and you stay with me always. I realize life is a grace walk and I thank you for that. I'm looking forward in what you want me to do today in sharing life with others. AMEN
Just a few sentences of communication and it continues as my day goes on. A morning talk with a cup of tea for me. Writing you and praying for you from the middle of my heart. I don't know the things you face or your family/friends face but God does. His word is true and amen. It's the beginning and the end of life. Somehow we are in the middle and God knows what is best for each of us. A simple act of surrender and seeing things through the eyes of God.
Thank you for taking time to read this, plant hope and go in freedom today! My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Happy new day!
