As a child, we are often read a book and remember the story it contained. I remember the story of Alice In Wonderland and she continued to search along the way. I've watched the movie with my kids and granddaughters. I found myself explaining what was real and not real in life. It is so important to take the time with those we love. Even reading a fairy tale to a kid is beyond amazing to me.
Within the mind of people, comes stories of truth and made up stories. The Bible holds stories that are true and not fairy tales. Read this:
Genesis 28:20-22 New International Version (NIV)
Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over meon this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear 21 so that I return safely to my father’s household, then the Lord will be my God 22 and this stone that I have set up as a pillar will be God’s house, and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth.”
God watches over us
A lighthouse can not be hid while shining over the waters. It guides by the bright light. I look at our lives as a lighthouse too. We have something inside of us that changed us when we gave our hearts back to God. He created us for a greater purpose and for kindness to flow from us. Not everyone thinks alike or will agree in life. That's okay, but sometimes we must agree to disagree. But we must agree that God is real and his Bible holds truths. Throughout life there are times when we need a friend to remind us for God's blessings over our lives.
Just the other day, I saw things wrong. I focused on who didn't like me instead of all the people who do. Negative words just stink at times and it can hold us back if we let it. Remind yourself that God created you to be you and some people just don't think before they speak. Darlene always says to ask if the words were from a heart of good intentions or actually meant to hurt. When I focus on that, I realize some words are said out of frustration and never meant the way I might take them. Although, some words were meant to hurt and it just crushed me at times. I've tried hard to let go, but it can be a battle at times. This reminds me of Joyce Meyer book, "Battlefield of the Mind". I highly recommend you read this book.
Through it all, we learn daily and grow daily. Let our growing be toward a heart of good intentions with own words and faithful to God through it all. My prayers continue for those who read my blog, your family and friends. I don't know what you are facing today but God does and cares.
TAKE THE TIME ~
To show someone you care by sending a text message, phone call, email or even a letter. It's nice to know that people care about us. Have a good day!
