Ephesians 5:15-17 New International Version (NIV)
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
TAKE THE TIME ~
1 Corinthians 13:11 New International Version (NIV)
When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.
TAKE THE TIME ~
Never get so busy making a living, that you forget to make a life!
Time goes by so quickly and we miss out on special things. Sometimes we must lay out aside thoughts that overpower us and grab onto the word of God. I can do all things through Christ and I will not let the enemy of my soul rob me from blessings. I was talking with a friend and realized the importance of just doing the right thing in life. I had those wish I had moments back, but I don't. I make the best of today!
People will not always understand you, but keep doing the right thing in life. Life is so short and we must not live in regrets. We also can not keep ourselves so busy, that we miss out on living. Living a life of freedom of thoughts, mind and actions.
BALANCE ~
Life requires us to have a job, make money and balance things out. Yet, some people work way to much and miss out on the blessings that surround their lives. I have seen mothers and dads work so much and put their children in daycare or after school programs. When the child really needs child care. I realize that some single mom's or dad's need this, but balance is still important. Life goes by so quickly that you turn around and they are graduating high school. Looking back to only see how you could have balanced your time better.
I was a child who always wanted my parents around me. My dad would work night shift and my mom day shift. Then they both works the same shift and making my brother and myself have a babysitter. As life presses forward, I would walk to school alone and be bullied by others. It was a sad little life and I look back to see how much I wanted time with my parents. I didn't know the financial part of my mom and dad, but I knew we didn't have much money. I totally believe my parents did their best for us, but they missed the part of playing with kids, taking trips and just enjoying time together. To busy trying with life. Yes, my heart feels sad as I write this.
My heart also feels glad that I can help out with my grandchildren. I often take Brookley to school and we have time to talk. I heard a little girl in her class say this, "I wish my grandma would come with me". I felt sad for the little girl and so remember wishing my mom would take me to school. Kids go through a lot in life and time is valuable. One day preschool, one day kindergarten and the years pass quickly.
Let us make time for people and those we care so much about in life.
I'm writing this today, because God doesn't want us to get so busy we forgive to LIVE LIFE! God supplies things for us and give us freedom to pick and choose. Don't live life looking back to see regrets but use it to help yourself now and others. God wants us to learn from each other and balance things out. You are important and never forget that. Your example is seen to someone else and that goes further than you know. Take some time with Jesus today and just give thanks.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
