TABLE TALK BEGINS
Sitting down at a table with family and friends begins stories. Each of us have our own story of one day. Yet, those at the table may not hear your heart. The why of things aren't so important anymore. It is the forgiveness, forgetting somethings and love shared that matters. Over time, we learn to deal with things.
Luke 6:31 New International Version (NIV)
31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
Life moves on and secrets remain inside lives. We tend to hide things that we don't want others to know. I had someone tell me that skeletons are found within each life. That simply means that each of us have sinned and we don't always share everything with others. I am so happy to share that God knows everything about each of us. His love is beyond measure and each of us need to love others as he has loved us. Forgiving, forgetting and pressing forward.
It is time to built our lives upon God and allow ourselves to change. Change according the word of God and building our lives with wisdom. Each of us were created to do the right thing in life. Also, using wisdom to protect our minds and hearts.
Luke 6:46-49 New International Version (NIV)
The Wise and Foolish Builders
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.
49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”
PUTTING YOUR TRUST IN GOD ~
Somethings in life, does not happen over night. It becomes a process and we learn to wait. In our waiting, we must not get discouraged. It takes calling up faith and holding tight to hope. My family has been through a lot over time. We have seen good times and we have seen hard times. Each of us have experienced different things and yet holding together as a family. Putting our trust in God through it all and coming over victorious. Once again, the Bible says the wise will build their house upon the rock.
The Bible holds the truth of life and a roadmap to Heaven!
Romans 10:17 New International Version (NIV)Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
I do realize that not everything needs to be told. There is freedom in not holding things back. There is also freedom is just letting something go and allow God to handle things. Family doesn't always turn out the way we might think. I remember growing up and seeing a TV show called, "Leave It To Beaver". A family who seem to have it all and how situations came into their lives. There would be times of them sitting down at the table and eating together with conversations. Talking about their day and sharing time with food.
As we sit down at the Table today, let us look around to see who is at our table. The table of conversation and the how much lives change in a moment's time. Don't allow too much time to pass without having someone at your table. Maybe calling a friend or sharing lunch with them. Time is precious and it's amazing how quickly time goes by. We often wait for a holiday to get together with family and friends. Ask yourself, why not today? I can text someone, call someone, message someone and share a hi or even thinking of you moment.
As I write you today, I think of you (reader of my blog) sitting down at my table. A blog of words that show I care and scriptures of hope. A new day brings so much for each of us. Guard your heart, guard your mind and set your clock to action. Show you care about someone today, share life and share Jesus. Just one act of kindness of remembered! My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
