Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
SUNDAY ~
It is a day that many go to church. A place to worship together and be part of a community. Friendships begin and life changes. As we surrender our lives to God, we dig deeper into the word of God. The Bible is a roadmap to Heaven and while we are on earth, we live by it. Each day we continue to learn and to grow. Our example isn't just for now, but someday we will leave a legacy of our lives. What will your legacy look like to others? I hope mine is one of faith, compassion, kindness and she did her best.
Not just that, but she lived her life for God daily the best she could.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 New International Version (NIV)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Psalm 27:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.
SUNDAY ~
This day is also considered a day of rest
Taking care of yourself is so important. I find that Sunday brings joy to my heart. I see how God has changed so many lives and I have made a lot of friends at church. On July 4, 2001 I met a friend name Ana and her family. It has been 18 years now and our friendship became a family ship over time. God is what connected us so many years ago. I often think of all the friends I have made at my church and it's too many to count. There are a faithful group of friends I know I can count on. I can also count on the leadership of Hillside and I am part of that team. Wow 18 years of growing and learning at one place of leading by the word of God (Bible).
If you don't have a home church and live in the Napa area, comes to mine:
Hillside Christian Church
100 Anderson Road
Napa CA
Service times are: 9am, 11am and 6:30pam
The church has an amazing kids ministry and teen ministry. Not only for kids, but young adults and all ages of adults. We have a women's service called, "Sisterhood". Our next service for women is August 3 at 10am. You can sign up for that online on the website at Hillside Christian Church.
I find that worship is entering into God's presence and brings my heart joy. The message of the day is given by one of our Pastor's and amazing volunteers are all over the place. They are there to welcome you and help you find what you need. It's not just about my church but any church at teachers the Bible. It is good to have a firm foundation of faith and learning in your life. God answers prayers and connects others for purpose. Had I never gone to Hillside, I would have never met some of the most amazing people in my life. I continue to meet new people all the time. I do love my church.
PRAISE and PRAYER
I love to praise the Lord, but I also love to pray. I know that prayer changes me, which changes the way I look at things. I am determined to keep the faith and know that God is able to handle whatever I face. I have a true friend named Jesus in my life daily. I hope you do too. The peace of God is knowing all is being taken care of by him.
Happy Sunday family and friends. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Maybe today is hard to hold on in prayer, but know that I am praying now for you. Purpose this a good day!
