Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
There are times in life when we must stop and allow peace to enter our minds. Life changes and we must deal with things we never thought about in life. Our world is going through a crisis of a virus and living in California, we are told to shelter at home. Going out only for food, medicine or a need. If you are over 65, you aren't suppose to go out at all unless a Tuesday or Thursday morning for one hour to get your needs. Life has changed and our new normals are happening for many. Let us keep in mind, many are sick and health care workers are tired. Trying hard to keep people alive and everybody needs our prayers.
SUNDAY PEACE ~
Philippians 4:7 English Standard Version (ESV)
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Keeping your mind stayed on God is so important. A higher power that can change things suddenly. Just knowing God is able helps my mind. I've seen miracles and I hold onto that. I think it's good to remind yourself of the good things God has done for you. It brings hope and we need hope in our lives. I know life is hard right now for many. There are ups and downs in one day for sure. Be careful the things you think about and don't watch too much news. Don't allow any words to scare you, but turn to God allow his peace to fill your mind.
Instead of seeing all the things you can't do today, let us focus on what we can do. We can encourage someone or check on someone. It's crazy how just one text message that reads, "Thinking about you" means to someone. The people who were in your circle of life before the virus, are probably still in your circle of connecting over a phone. Don't forget the ones you care about and you can reach a little further with a call, text message or Facebook. I know this is all hard, but keep doing your best and remember to encourage yourself. Yesterday, I put on some Motown Music and began to sing. As a teenager, I would sit in my room and sing. My voice isn't the best and it cracks but it cracks with a joyful heart. lol It's good to do things that brings your heart joy, which leads to peace.
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
