Psalm 62:5 (NIV)
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
Today, I just want to give a shout out to those who help others. Yesterday, a scary situation came into play in a school in Napa. It was on lockdown and the was a shooter close by. Parents was sacred, teachers, leaders, neighbors and the list goes on. The police jumped into action and we often don't realize how they put their lives on the line. My son in law was there and he is a police officer. It became real to me once again who people protect us and we don't know the outcome. My prayers began but I realized that my prayers need to be daily for our men and women who serve us. As we rest inside our homes, office of work or out about doing errands, there are others who deal with emergencies.
God, I ask that you help us remember to seek you daily and pray for police to serve others. Even those who are counselors, work in hospitals, officers, outside and the list goes on. Those who put their lives in danger to protect and those who just go about doing what they jobs calls them to do. I don't know the details of jobs, but you know everything God. As we learn to rest in you, seek you and turn our ways to you, protect us today. Protect our children and grandchildren in schools, parks and where they go today. Set a guard around them and put your angels with them. Help us to be kind to others because life is short and even in driving people can get so frustrated. Help us to live with kindness and keep the bad person far away. Protect people in their homes too. Give health to those who need it today and help us rest in you. AMEN
I care and my prayers continue for each of you, your family and friends.
