Giving honor to those who were first responders and continue to be first responders in life. Giving thanks for people who worked in hospitals and could help so many people. As I hear some stories of lives, I can't imagine the depth of this. As we feel his protection in a new day, let us not forget to look around us and be aware of things happening.
Psalm 34:18-20 New International Version (NIV)
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
I have had loved one suddenly die and I know there is never closure of saying good bye or one last hug. We live with things said and unsaid in our lives. This happening of 911 brings my mind back to giving thanks that a healing process began in lives. Nobody said that process would be quick or over night. We learn to deal with new normals and the loss of people in our lives. It's not easy, but it happens. The Bible says this:
Ecclesiastes 3 New International Version (NIV)
A Time for EverythingThere is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
A TIME FOR PEACE ~
God we don't always understand your plan of life, but we learn to trust you through it all. We learn to cry and smile. We learn to lean on you and help us just breath again. We join today in our nation today to pray and to give thanks that the healing process of lives continue. Asking largely that you help many who cry, hurt and struggle with what they saw. Also, those who lost loved ones on this day. It affected so many people and continues to affect us. It as 17 years ago today and it somehow feels like now. Help us to press through with prayer and trust with all our hearts that you will help this day. We can't even image what each life goes through in one day. We rest in your plan and trust that peace will be in hearts as our nations mourns our losses on this day. AMEN
As I watch TV this morning, giving honor to lives. Children missing their moms, dads, grandfathers, grandmothers and the list goes on. Adults in tears of their loved ones. A day to remember the loss of what happen to each life on this day. People from all walks of life and such great losses. My heart goes out to each person today and their family/friends.
My thoughts and prayers continue for each person who reads this blog. Also for your family and friends as we never know what one life goes through in one day. Bring your mind to peace and rest in knowing God is right with you.
